(ii) Definition of digestion
Process of conversion of complex food substances to simple absorbable form is called digestion.
(iii) Alimentary canal of humans- parts
(iv) Digestive glands- salivary glands, liver, pancreas
(v) Digestion of food- digestion of carbohydrates, proteins, fats in various parts of                alimentary canal and the enzymes involved.
(vi) Absorption of digested food- it mainly takes place from the small intestine
(vii) Egestion- undigested food is faeces which is thrown out through anus.
(ix) Disorders of digestive system- jaundice, vomiting, diarrhia, constipation, indigestion

Activity- villi to shown through ppt and mechanism of absorption to be explained.
            (vii) Egestion
Activity- large intestine, rectum. Anus to be shown through ppt.
             (viii) Disorders of digestive system
Activity- through questioning various disorders would be introduced.
