(ii) Definition of digestion

Process of conversion of complex food substances tosimple absorbable form is called digestion.

(iii) Alimentary canal ofhumans- parts

(iv) Digestive glands- salivary glands, liver, pancreas

(v) Digestion of food- digestion of carbohydrates,proteins, fats in various parts of alimentary canal and theenzymes involved.

(vi) Absorption of digested food- it mainly takes placefrom the small intestine

(vii) Egestion- undigested food is faeces which isthrown out through anus.

(ix) Disorders of digestive system- jaundice,vomiting, diarrhia, constipation, indigestion

Activity-large intestine, rectum. Anus to be shown through ppt.

(viii) Disorders of digestivesystem

Activity- through questioningvarious disorders would be introduced.
